Duties and responsibilities. 1. To work as part of a team to ensure the safety of young people by following the procedures laid down in the project manual. 2. To provide practical support to young people. 3. To provide clear, accurate information to young people. 4. To record accurate information in line with operational procedures 5. To clean communal and exterior parts of the project. 6. To clean bed sitting room when young people move out and to prepare the room for the new occupant. 7. To receive supervision and core training identified by the organisation. 8. To raise any concerns to the Team Leader and / or Project Manager. 9. To comply with SYSHPs policies and procedures. 10. To assist young people who are in temporary accommodation to continue their education and career opportunities. 11. To work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation, in order to provide 24/7 rota cover within Drws Agored. 12. To undertake other duties as may be reasonable required as directed by the Project Manager, Team leader or Project Worker. You should regard this job description with a degree of flexibility as the range of duties is not exhaustive and may also change to meet the needs of SYSHP.

Requirement Essential / Desirable 1. Experience of working with young people either in a paid, unpaid and / or personal capacity E 2. Effective verbal and written communication skills E 3. Ability on work on own initiative and as part of a team E 4. Understanding of issues facing young people and the disadvantages they face E 5. Able and willing to work the flexible hours required E 6. Sensitive and practical approach to giving information. E
Method of assessment
The requirements specified in the person specification are assessed in the application from and interview. References will be sought for all successful candidates. As we work with vulnerable young adults all successful candidates will be require an enhanced check with the Criminal Records Bureau.
